Truffle Wedding Cake

Recently I took a last minute road trip to Nashville. What a lovely place. If you have not been there, I honestly encourage you to go and enjoy the beauty of this town. One of my highlights was visiting The Cocoa Tree for decadent chocolate truffles. One of the most unique things about these truffles is the interesting and odd flavors. I tried a “Sweet Potato” truffle – so strange, yet interesting – eating chocolate that tastes like a sweet potato! I also enjoyed the “Balsamic Raspberry,” a flavor that cannot be described – you’ve got to taste it first hand! In the middle of eating lots and lots of truffles, I noticed a sign for Custom Truffle Cakes with a picture of a beautiful truffle cone made with hundreds of truffle roses, decorated with real roses! I certainly think this would be an excellent way to add a bit of chocolate sweetness to your wedding!

The other wonderful fact to remember about The Cocoa Tree is that it is owned by Chocolatier, Bethany Thouin, who originally came to Nashville as a musician and ended up creating over 20 signature truffles while opening her own chocolate business. She has competed against chocolatiers on the Food Network and received wonderful applause! All ingredients are natural. The truffles are made in small batches to ensure exceptional quality. Go visit the tiny shop and see Bethany at work in the chocolate kitchen first hand!

These are interesting!! Truffles that look like mini icecream cones:
